Cashie is a local-first intelligent bookkeeping app that makes logging expenses feel natural.
We believe the biggest barrier to bookkeeping isn't ugly UI, it's how long it takes to type each entry. So Cashie puts AI in your pocket: photo, voice, or manual, whichever fits the moment.
Core Features
Receipt photo recognition Snap a receipt or a payment screenshot. Cashie extracts amount, merchant, time, and category automatically. Works with bank apps, food delivery slips, paper receipts, and more.
Voice entry Press and say "Starbucks coffee 35". Cashie pulls out the amount, merchant, and category instantly. Perfect for in-car or on-the-move logging.
Manual entry Traditional input is fully preserved with tags, notes, and attachments for richer records.
AI as an assistant, not just a recognizer
Real-data insights Trend analysis, anomaly alerts, and saving suggestions based on your actual records, no boilerplate, just signals you can act on.
Smart categorization and tagging AI learns your naming habits and auto-classifies entries into your custom tags (Breakfast / Commute / Essential / Occasional, etc.).
Duplicate detection WeChat charge plus an Alipay receipt for the same purchase? Cashie's fingerprint algorithm detects duplicates automatically.
Privacy is the default, not a slogan

On-device models
When local AI is enabled, Cashie downloads open-source models from HuggingFace (~1-4GB) and caches them on-device. They download once and run fully offline. Prefer not to download? Use local OCR or cloud mode.

Refunds are finally refunds
Refund is now its own transaction type, not a negative expense
The original purchase row now shows the amount refunded, right on the row
Refunds and income imported from images or bills are no longer forced into expenses, and you can tap once to correct an imported entry
Sharper bill recognition
Medical insurance receipts now count only your out-of-pocket portion
Missing years are filled in from the receipt itself, so dates land in the right year
Importing several receipts at once no longer gets interrupted by memory pressure
Local AI, less setup
On-device models collapsed to a single base, so local mode downloads once
On-device chat bookkeeping now handles logging, editing, looking up, and refunding entries without switching to cloud mode
With the interface set to English, on-device chat answers in English
Backup and more
Backup is now a ZIP bundle with multiple restore modes, exportable via the system share sheet
All Transactions in account detail is a pushed screen now, so going back keeps your place
Categories are inferred from the merchant, matching your habits more closely
